Working as a trade goldsmith for many years, I have a passion for hot and blown glass and its sculptural possibilities for body adornment. All my work is based on the human body and anthropology. Current themes are funeral archaeology (especially the Neolithic sites of Caithness) and the aesthetic qualities of decay. Since 2004 and an internship at Bullseye Glass Co. in the US I also work with kilnforming techniques and as a freelance instructor for North Lands Creative Glass. I am excited about the technical side of kilnforming, especially problem solving and the design of firing schedules.
